A decorative project. Considering the 200 year old bones of this project, we focused on restoring and honoring all the original detail. Nothing was removed. Instead, it was enhanced with color, texture and maximalism to soften the formality of this Colonial.

Project Duration: Approximately 3 years.

Our firm’s mantra is “Beautiful Chaos.” In considering the past, we inform the present. The formality of the home needed to be softened to make room for a young family. No shortage of pattern, textiles and colors were brought in to add layers on layers. The idea wasn’t to make it feel new, but to make it feel like it had been collected over time. Just like all good design should feel.
